When Diana and I had our first call I knew we were going to be a great match! So many brides reach out with an idea of what they want, but the one thing you can’t feel on the internet (which is also on of the most important factors in photography) is how well you mesh personality wise. We had a great carefree conversation, joked about our dogs, and wedding planning – it was like talking to a friend. When I received my wedding questionnaire back, reading the response to “What are you most looking forward to?” – “FINALLY GETTING MARRIED TO EACH OTHER!” said everything.
The Wedding Day
Diana and John’s ceremony took place at the stunning St. Stephen Catholic Church, a venue known for its timeless beauty. The church’s grand architecture provided a beautiful backdrop for the couple’s vows. Diana looked radiant in her gown from CC’s Bridal, and her custom “Just Married” Converse shoes added a unique and playful touch that perfectly captured her fun personality.
The lush greenery and light blue accents of their wedding color scheme were beautifully incorporated into the floral arrangements by Jennie’s Flowers, adding an extra layer of elegance to the ceremony.
Following the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration moved to the Tampa River Center, a venue that offers spectacular views of the Hillsborough River and downtown Tampa. Diana and John’s reception was a lively affair, filled with laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments with family and friends. The sign walking into the Tampa River Center “Bechers, Booze and Bad Dance Moves” was just the start to the excitement that would ensue!
Details included, a guest book tree (yes, a tree for people to sign the leaves), disco balls, and a giant Crossword board with clues about the couple’s relationship were some of the most creative decor items.
Elite Events handled the catering, DJ, and day-of coordination, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that guests had a fantastic time. The delicious food and lively music kept everyone entertained throughout the night. The vintage style “Just Married” wedding cake from Publix was a sweet highlight, perfectly complementing the greenery and light blue color scheme.
Diana and John’s wedding at St. Stephen Catholic Church and the Tampa River Center is a perfect example of the kind of weddings I love to capture. My goal is to tell your unique love story through my lens, creating images that you’ll want to show off!
