Norborto wanted to plan a romantic beach proposal in Clearwater for his girlfriend Nancy. They are both from Massachusetts and had come down to Sand Key beach a year ago on a trip. He thought this would be a great place to plan a beach walk during sunset. He called me to set up the photography of the moment and discuss my thoughts on how to make the moment perfect.
Proposal photography is fun, but also has its challenges. On this day the beach was pretty empty so I had to hide my camera behind my back so that Nancy wouldn’t suspect anything. I decided to hang out near a nice family and start some conversation. I told them what was going to happen and the wife happily said “Oh just pretend you’re with us!” People can be really great.
The proposal happened right on time and Nancy was very excited! She told me she had no idea (thankfully my hiding plan worked).
As they were in a state of bliss I captured a few more engagement photos of the two of them walking on Sand Key beach during sunset.
